About Us

Word Increase Ministry is a ministry committed to Bible teaching training and discipleship. It started in January 2012 as ‘Preach The Word' training course (PTW) by Loots and Nancy Lambrechts , then missionaries (from the UK) of Africa Inland Mission (AIM), who were partnered by Syldio Determine Dusabumuremyi (from Rwanda), then General Secretary of Groupe Biblique Universitaire au Rwanda (GBUR). It was legally registered in Rwanda in September 2020 as 'Word Increase Ministry'.

Our vision is to see the Church of Christ in Rwanda resourced with ministers who will help fulfill the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to make and mature disciples of all the nations.

We aim to fulfill this vision by pursuing Christ centered lives to the glory of God and by offering training to current and aspiring ministers of the Word and by pursuing healthy relationships with churches to ensure the work is truly done for the benefit of the Church.

  ·         The Word of God

o   Is the base of all thinking and action

·         Ministry as life

o   We consider ministry is not essentially the activities we do but the life of Christ that we receive and discharge through what we do in our diverse giftings.

·         Christ not self

o   In our post-modern world where the media has invented and marketed many ways to promote self-worth, we want to consciously go counter-cultural, promoting Christ glory, not our own as ministers or as an organization.

Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?” (Romans 6:1). If grace is so easy, should we bother to change our ways? Whenever the gospel is clearly presented, this question comes up. If all our sins are so easily forgiven, why worry about sin?
